Continuing Claims Service
CCM includes any additional activity required after providing the Basis Claims Service (i.e. submission of Employer’s Report to the Compensation Board)
Should the claim move to CCM status then services are delivered on an hourly fee for service rate, rounded to the nearest 15-minute interval.
Case Management
- Review of subsequent Functional Abilities Forms
- Discussion of continuing issues with provision of advice/recommendations and strategy to avoid/contain compensation costs, e.g. Early & Safe Return to Work; employee non-cooperation in the return to work process; slow/lack of progress requiring intervention
- Communication/follow up with or written submissions to WSIB regarding medical management; continuing/complex claim issues and or new issues /objections
- Communication with managers/Compensation Board for information to pursue cost relief or claim appeal; request for file access from the Board
- Review of Compensation file
- Cost projection/benefit analysis for an individual claim (upon request)
- Review and forwarding to Corporate office Compensation Board Assessment Invoices/Statements
- Recommendation, co-ordination and integration of additional tests or services if required. Additional tests or services that may be required include:
- Recurrence – enquiries with manager to establish continuity of complaints
- Submission of reopen claim/letter, with objection if required, to appropriate Board/Commission
