    Mobile Hearing Testing

    Mobile Hearing Testing

Mobile hearing testing is a core component of effective hearing conservation programs, enabling large volumes of employees to be tested efficiently without disrupting operations. When delivered properly, it supports early detection of hearing loss, regulatory compliance, and long-term workforce protection.

Workplace Medical is one of Canada’s largest providers of mobile hearing testing, delivering 65,000+ audiometric tests annually across 2,000 organizations across industrial, public-sector, and remote work environments.

    Testing Services

Mobile hearing testing services may include:

    • Baseline audiometric testing
    • Periodic hearing testing for ongoing monitoring
    • Follow-up testing where threshold shifts are identified
    • Documentation aligned with hearing conservation and regulatory requirements

All testing is conducted in accordance with applicable standards and regulatory guidance.

    How Workplace Medical Delivers

Workplace Medical delivers mobile hearing testing through a company-owned fleet of purpose-built mobile testing trucks, designed to combine the efficiency of high-volume testing with the quality of individual, clinic-grade assessments—the best of both worlds.

    Mobile Testing Capability

Our mobile fleet is engineered for scale, reliability, and consistent clinical quality:

    • Company-owned national fleet of 11 mobile hearing testing units
    • Multiple truck configurations to match site size and operational needs:
    • 6-booth trucks – up to 24 tests per hour
    • 3-booth trucks – up to 12 tests per hour
    • Single-booth units for smaller or remote locations
    • Enclosed, climate-controlled, office-quality interiors
    • Acoustic-grade testing booths with microprocessor-controlled, clinical-grade audiometers
    • Capacity of up to 250 employees tested per day (6-booth configuration), minimizing production disruption
    • Testing conducted by certified audiometric technicians, trained in audiometry, CPR/First Aid, and mobile operations

This owned-infrastructure model allows WMC to deliver consistent, defensible hearing testing at scale across single-site, multi-site, and remote operations, without compromising quality or worker experience.

    Program Integration & Operational Confidence

Mobile hearing testing is delivered as part of an integrated hearing conservation program, supporting:

    • Consistent baseline and periodic monitoring
    • Early identification of threshold shifts
    • Reliable documentation aligned with regulatory requirements
    • Clear visibility across departments, sites, and testing cycles

This approach gives employers confidence that hearing risks are being monitored effectively, efficiently, and defensibly, year after year.
